Andrei Koivumäki tells Iltalehti that the terms were corrected after the notice.
Entrepreneur and home seller Andrei Koivumäki the company Neliöt Liikkuu LKV Oy has received a contact from the regional administrative agency regarding their marketing.
It appears from Avi’s documents that Koivumäki and an employee of his company have used the real estate agent title in the wrong way.
According to the best information, Koivumäki and the employee have not completed the real estate broker’s (LKV) degree. For this reason, they have no rights to use the word real estate agency in marketing or in texts describing their job description.
The term can be used for those employees who have passed the LKV qualification.
The agency must have a manager in charge, who is obliged to ensure that good agency practices are followed in the agency and that the activity is otherwise carried out in accordance with the law. The manager in charge of the brokerage firm must have a professional qualification demonstrated in the real estate broker exam, i.e. HVAC qualification.

In Avi’s documents, it is stated that the agency will contact Koivumäki’s company and its employees will be instructed in marketing, where the term broker is not used in a “misleading way”.
The documents also state that social media marketing and advertising are subject to “the same rules as other brokerage marketing.”
Koivumäki regularly publishes, for example, on his own Instagram account various marketing material about the sale of the apartment and the operation of his company. In addition to this, the company also has its own social media user accounts.
The entrepreneur commented
Iltalehti reached out to entrepreneur Andrei Koivumäki to comment on the situation. He says that he received a notice on the subject from the Regional Administration Office last week.
– Our social media employee, who writes the texts, must not have been aware of this and no one had noticed it. But it’s not about the bigger issue, says Koivumäki.
Koivumäki has previously told Iltalehti that he has not completed an HVAC degree, so he cannot be called a real estate agent. This is why he is called a housing salesman.
Koivumäki says that incorrect information has been corrected on the company’s website and social media publications in accordance with the regional administrative agency’s comments.
