Autumnal weather with rain and gusts of wind: code yellow will apply tomorrow

Autumn is now really upon us. The heavy rain showers last night will continue in the coming days. The KNMI will even warn with code yellow tomorrow due to strong gusts of wind.

It rained heavily in many places in the province last night and this morning. According to NH weatherman Jan Visser, the rain, especially in the south of North Holland, will continue throughout the day. “There are also some spells of sunshine in the north, but generally cloudy conditions prevail,” the weatherman said this morning on NH Radio.

The temperature will also drop in the coming days. “Yesterday in the morning at 7.30 am it was around 17 degrees, this morning it was about 13 degrees.” Although it will be calm this afternoon, the wind will increase during the evening.

Rain and gusts of wind

According to Visser, it won’t be cold tomorrow either. The rain will continue, and the temperature will rise again tomorrow to about 20 degrees. “An unusually high temperature for this time of year.”

The KNMI will warn tomorrow with code yellow for gusts of wind between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Visser: “Tomorrow afternoon there will be strong to strong winds on the coast from the southwest with gusts of 80 to 90 kilometers per hour.” He predicts that there may be wind force 8 on Texel.

It will continue to rain tomorrow evening and into Saturday night. The weatherman thinks that the sun will shine for a while later in the day. It will be colder again by about 13 degrees. There is a chance of showers on Sunday and it will cool down a bit more to around 10 to 11 degrees.
