While there were hints of a possible takeover of British shoe brand Hunter by Authentic Brands Group last week, the US group now seems to have its eye on Boardriders, Inc. as well. This is reported by Bloomberg, among others. Boardriders is the parent company of surf fashion brands like Quicksilver and Billabong.
According to media reports, a deal is already within reach. However, both companies have yet to comment on the reports.
US fashion giant Authentic Brands Group has recently made a number of acquisitions. These include brands such as Reebok, Izod, Van Heusen, Arrow, Geoffrey Beene and Ted Baker.
