The US fashion and media group Authentic Brands Group LLC (ABG) has expanded its collaboration with the Canadian shoe and accessories provider Aldo Group.
On Wednesday, the group announced that Aldo will, as a licensing partner, develop, produce and market Hunter brand bags and small leather goods in the USA and Canada. Since last year, the Canadian company has held the shoe and bag license for the fashion label Ted Baker, which also belongs to the Authentic Brands Group. The two companies also recently jointly took over the Sperry shoe brand.
Jarrod Weber, Group President Lifestyle, Chief Brand Officer at Authentic Brands Group, welcomed the agreement: “We are pleased to expand our relationship with Aldo Group and launch this new partnership for Hunter,” he said in a statement . “This partnership allows us to draw on Hunter’s rich heritage and translate it into an accessories line that resonates with consumers seeking quality, style and functionality.”
According to the group, the first bag collection from the traditional label Hunter, which was acquired by the Authentic Brands Group last summer, will be launched on the market in the fall/winter 2024/25 season and will be available in department stores, specialist retailers and online platforms.
