An Australian airline has received a hundred threats as a result of a conspiracy theory. It claims its pilots may have caused some of the severe flooding that is currently plaguing the country. Certain publications on the internet have suggested that Handel Aviation pilots caused a second deluge in the New South Wales town of Lismore on March 31 by engaging in so-called “cloud seeding”. This is a technique in which chemicals are sprayed into the clouds to cause rain.
