Australian marathon swimmer has to stop swimming crossing to Nieuwpoort

On Friday morning, Australian marathon swimmer Chloe McCardel started a new swimming challenge: crossing the Channel between the United Kingdom and our country. Chloe is the record holder on this passage, she has already made the crossing 44 times. It earned her the title ‘Queen of the English Channel’.

Together with 8 to 10 other swimmers from different corners of the world, she left the British Ramsgate. On Saturday morning, Chloe and her fellow swimmers had to stop their swim crossing Ramsgate-Nieuwpoort in the early morning due to bad weather conditions.
