Broadcast relies on knowledge transfer
According to “CoinDesk”, the show, led by producer Jett Tang, aims to bring the world of cryptocurrencies closer to a broad audience for the first time. Although the series is designed as a reality show, producer Tang emphasizes that it is important to the creators to include people who are not particularly well versed in the world of cryptocurrencies. In order to make the series equally captivating for non-experts, so-called “big short” moments are included, in which the judges explain key terms from the crypto world to the audience in an understandable way. While imparting knowledge plays an important role, the main focus of the show, according to Tang, will be the portrayal of crypto culture and diverse personalities.
“Killer Whale” will also air later this year
Besides “The Next Crypto Gem” there is another crypto show format. The production called “Killer Whale”, produced by CoinMarketCap and HELLO Labs, also aims to bring the concept of “The Lion’s Den” to the world of cryptocurrencies and thus attract a wider audience to this area. Filming for this series took place in Los Angeles in June 2023 and the show will also air later in the year. Crypto enthusiasts can therefore look forward to two new crypto broadcasts.
