Ballet dancer Atte Kilpinen visited MTV’s Huomenta Suomi – program interview on Sunday, February 4.
In the interview, Kilpinen talks about his social media publication, which caused him to receive a huge number of hate comments. In the six-second video, Kilpinen walks hand in hand with his spouse. Kilpinen thought it would be wonderful to celebrate the anniversary with that social publication.
– It went viral around the world and then quite a lot of mud started coming out of it, Kilpinen describes to MTV.
Kilpinen says that the situation in question woke him up to the fact that people outside his own bubble are not as tolerant.
– I realized that there is still work to be done here in the world. At the same time, it wasn’t terribly surprising in itself and it wasn’t terribly shocking, Kilpinen continues in the interview.
In the interview, Kilpinen recalls his blogging days, when he was only 14 years old. At that time, he even received death threats.
– I remember that on the discussion forum there were threats “I’ll pay if you kill that guy” and “hack his blog”, Kilpinen recalls.
– Everyone in the audience has an opinion about the snow – it’s either positive or negative. Every person has an opinion, which is nothing to worry about, Kilpinen tells MTV.
