HAARLEM – Two young Amsterdam men who placed a heavy explosive at a Polish supermarket in Beverwijk last June were told that it was a non-functioning projectile that was purely for intimidation. Both suspects stated this on Monday morning during the handling of their criminal case at the court in Haarlem. In reality, they placed a heavy mine, which experts say can be deadly at a distance of 100 to 150 meters.
