According to BZ information, an unknown perpetrator threw a Molotov cocktail at the sports hall of the Lomonossow School in Marzahn at around 3:20 a.m.!

“An attentive passer-by called the fire brigade and police to the avenue of cosmonauts when he noticed smoke developing in the gym of the German-Russian educational campus,” said a police spokesman. The alarmed officials were able to extinguish the fire themselves, and firefighters prevented the flames from spreading.

“We are stunned and speechless about this cowardly act directed against children,” says Dr. Alexander Ott (58), coordinator of the private school. He emphasizes: “Our school is international, children from up to 20 nations learn together here, including German, Russian and Ukrainian children. Also children from Belarus and the Baltic States. We are proud that there have never been ethnic or linguistic disputes. Even now, we will not let our school community antagonize each other.”
