Norwegian tennis pro Casper Ruud successfully defended his title at the ATP tournament in Gstaad.
The 23-year-old French Open finalist prevailed in the final of the clay court event against Italian Matteo Berrettini 4: 6, 7: 6 (7: 4), 6: 2.
Berrettini missed his third tournament victory in a row after successes on grass in Queens and Stuttgart. At the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon, the 26-year-old had to pass due to an infection with the corona virus.
In the semifinals, Berrettini defeated Dominic Thiem. The former US Open winner from Austria confirmed his slow upward trend after returning from a protracted injury at the end of March.
