In a written statement, Atletico Madrid announced that it has reached an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of Griezmann, who has been on loan since the summer of 2021.
The red and white club announced that after the agreement with Barcelona, 31-year-old Griezmann signed a contract valid until 30 June 2026.
Griezmann, who played 304 official matches in Atletico, is known as the 4th top scorer in the club’s history with 144 goals and 59 assists.
Griezmann has scored 3 goals for Atletico in the matches played so far this season.
On the other hand, Barcelona Club President Joan Laporta said in a statement to the Spanish press at the end of last week that they would receive 20 million Euros from Atletico Madrid and an additional 4 million Euros depending on the success of Griezmann as a testimonial fee.
