Historic day for Italy: after Furlani’s second place, two more medals from speed
The Italy of young people is crazy! After the silver of 19-year-old Mattia Furlani in the long jump, the Indoor World Championships in Glasgow offer two other incredible feats. Lorenzo Simonelli is second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7″43, a new Italian record, behind only the unbeaten American Holloway with 7″29. Bronze to the Frenchman Kwaou-Mathey with 7″47.

In the last final of the day, there was also a splendid bronze for Zaynab Dosso, 24 years old, who in a single World Championship became the first Italian ever to run in a final and get on the podium. Gold to the Saint Lucia champion Julien Alfred in 6″98, silver to the Polish Ewa Swoboda in 7″00. Curiosity: both Dosso and Simonelli are coached by Giorgio Frinolli.
