The athlete Britt Weerman from Assen has set a Dutch junior record in the high jump with 1 meter and 92 centimeters.

The 18-year-old athlete from Groningen Athletics did so on Friday evening during the BKK Freudenberg Hochsprung Gala 2022 in Weinheim, Germany. In the indoor competition, the Drentse stayed only 1 centimeter below the Dutch indoor record of 1.93 and 2 centimeters below the Dutch outdoor record of 1.94 set by Nadine Broersen in 2014.

Britt Weerman is already in excellent shape for the Dutch National Championships

The competition was won by the German Imke Onnen, who was the only one to reach a height of 1.94 meters. Weerman had hit every height up to her junior record of 1.92 in her first attempt. However, she did not succeed, so she finished second. The athlete appears to be in excellent shape in the run-up to the Dutch National Championships in indoor athletics, which will be held in Apeldoorn in fourteen days.
