Finally, the wait is over! After a two-year Corona break, the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) is back at the Berlin exhibition center.

Latest technologies in the midst of the energy crisis. Sustainability, saving electricity, energy efficiency: the key issues at this year’s IFA.

The trade fair itself is now also saving electricity: since the end of July, the radio tower has no longer been illuminated outside of event days. There are also “green halls” on the site: among other things, they are particularly energetic thanks to better insulation.

Saves on washing clothes: The FreshUp. If you run the device over bad-smelling clothing, plasma flows out and drives away unpleasant odors and bacteria

And: The trade fair uses only green electricity, as a spokesman explained when asked by the BZ. During the Corona period, energy measures were implemented throughout the exhibition center – savings in this area have reduced the load on the exhibition center’s electricity network by 20 percent.
