On Sunday (April 17), Måneskin made their first appearance at the Coachella festival. With “Womanizer”, they dressed one of the great pop hits of the noughties in a rocky guise for their debut.
The song was originally released in September 2008 as the danceable lead single from Britney Spears’ sixth studio album CIRCUS. She once described the play as a “girl anthem.” The lyrics of “Womanizer” revolve around a womanizer, which the protagonist of the song is able to unmask.

From Britney Spears to the Stooges
At the celebrity-studded Coachella festival, the Italian band performed a cover of the Stooges classic, I Wanna Be Your Dog, alongside their hits “MAMMAMIA,” “I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE” and “Beggin.” Of course, “ZITTI E BUONI” could not be missing either – the song with which Måneskin triumphed at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam in May 2021 and in the following months blossomed into one of the most successful rock bands in the world.

Will Måneskin bring “Womanizer” to German stages soon?
Beginning later this year, Måneskin will be performing in North America and Europe as part of their Loud Kids Get Louder tour. The quartet is also stopping for two shows in Germany: on March 6, 2023, Måneskin will play at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, and four days later they will be performing at the LANXESS Arena in Cologne. On April 28th next year they will be guests in the Wiener Stadthalle.
