An armed man shot and killed at least four people at a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday. The suspect was also killed and several people were injured.
The gunman allegedly walked through the hallways to the second floor of the St. Francis Hospital campus and opened fire there. The police report this to the news agency Reuters. The shooter allegedly carried a rifle and pistol.
Towards the end of the afternoon, police reported on Facebook that the gunman was dead, without stating how he ended up. Not much later, the police confirmed that four others had died.
The hospital has been partially evacuated and the hospital is being searched for possible other victims. The area has been cordoned off for investigation.
Third shooting incident in two weeks
It is the third shooting incident in the US in two weeks. Last Tuesday, an 18-year-old man opened fire at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. The gunman holed up in a classroom and killed 19 children and two teachers before being shot and killed by police themselves.
A few days earlier, a gunman opened fire at a convenience store in Buffalo, New York. Ten people were killed and three others were injured.
