At least five dead in Europe by storm | Abroad

At least five people have been killed in the severe storms that ravaged Europe. They reached wind speeds of up to 180 kilometers per hour and disrupted rail and air traffic.




Three victims were in Poland and the two others in Germany. They are the victims of Storm Dudley, on the eve of the arrival of another storm, Eunice.

In Kraków, in southern Poland, two workers were killed and two injured when a construction crane toppled over due to strong gusts of wind. Another man was killed after a tree fell on his car in the west of the country. In addition, about 500 houses in the country were badly damaged and 324,000 households were left without power.

In Germany, a 37-year-old motorist was killed when a tree fell on his car on a country road in Bad Bevensen in Lower Saxony. A 55-year-old motorist died after a tree fell on his car in Schwenda, Saxony-Anhalt.
