The police assume two perpetrators: one perpetrator shot at victims, another attacked passers-by with an axe. Roadblocks were set up in the area. A police helicopter chased a suspicious vehicle.
It is the sixth attack since March 22, in which a total of 17 people have already been killed. Two attacks were perpetrated by Israeli Arabs affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) terror group. Two other attacks were carried out by Palestinians from the occupied West Bank.
Following the initial attacks, Israeli forces have launched a series of operations in the occupied West Bank. Since March 22, at least 26 Palestinians have been killed in those operations.
