At Fürth only reservist: second division club Ried signed ex-Armine Seufert

Should bring ball security

Bundesliga relegated SV Ried has presented the next new signing for the coming second division season: The Upper Austrians sign midfielder Nils Seufert. The 26-year-old German comes to the Innviertel from his homeland from the second division club Greuther Fürth, where he signed a contract that runs until 2025. Seufert hardly played a role in Fürth last season. In four second division games, he came a total of only 17 minutes.

The central midfielder experienced the high point of his career so far at Arminia Bielefeld, with the traditional club, which had just been relegated to the 3rd division, he only managed to get promoted to the Bundesliga in 2020. He played 17 times in the German upper house for Bielefeld and Fürth.

Sport director Wolfgang Fiala said about the new signing: “In previous games we noticed that we need more ball security in midfield. Nils Seufert brings exactly this quality and the experience of over 80 games in the 1st and 2nd German Bundesliga. We are very happy to be able to inspire a player of this caliber to join us.”
