AstorMueller brings in shoe experts from Wortmann

The Swiss shoe manufacturer AstorMueller is strengthening its team in the women’s sector. Achim Tischer has been working for the company since September 15 in the newly created role of Vice President Product Women, AstorMueller announced on Monday.

Tischer is responsible for the women’s shoe product area of ​​the company’s brands, including Bugatti and Salamander, and is expected to drive AstorMueller’s growth strategy.

Especially in the area of ​​women’s shoes, the company has set a lot of plans with the launch of the TT.Bagatt brand and the purchase of Salamander, according to AstorMueller CEO Tim Müller, who describes Tischer as a “central driver” of the area’s growth.

Tischer, who started in product management at the shoe manufacturer Wortmann KG in 1992, has more than 30 years of experience in the shoe industry. In 2006 he joined Wortmann’s management team and was responsible for the Tamaris brand from 2010. His focus was on collection, sourcing, quality and sharpening the collection process, according to the statement. He was also responsible for setting up the sales company in the USA as well as international sales and online account sales.
