Set under Gerrard
Aston Villa has created long-term personnel clarity on the right defensive side. The Premier League club from Birmingham announced the extension of Matty Cash on Monday evening. While the club did not provide any information about the length of the contract, the 24-year-old full-back wrote about “another five years” on his social media channels.
Cash, who was born in England and has been playing for Poland since October, joined the Villans in 2020. The current eleventh in the table paid 15.75 million euros to Nottingham Forest. Since then, the right-footed player has appeared in 60 competitive games (three goals, six assists) and is also set under coach Steven Gerrard.
Delighted to extend my stay here at Aston Villa for another 5 years. Loving my time here and can’t wait to continue this exciting journey. Thanks to gaffa and everyone at the club for giving me this opportunity and especially to you fans for the continued support UTV pic.twitter.com/pVh0TV8sCN
