In his interview in Trabzonspor magazine, Kılıç stated that Trabzonspor is his biggest love.
Explaining the candidacy process for the club management, Kılıç continued as follows:
“Mr. Ertuğrul Doğan, with whom we have a family relationship and a management partnership in the past, became a presidential candidate for Trabzonspor and wanted to see us in the management. He had experience as vice president and vice president in Trabzonspor, made significant contributions to Trabzonspor, and after these experiences, he became a presidential candidate for the club. We were on the list of the former Ertuğrul Doğan. We took part in the task because we believed that a formation in which his and our experiences came side by side, where we had full confidence in our president, would benefit our club and thus we could manage the process well. Frankly, the picture was clear, but we did not take on an easy job in any area of our lives, we did not have any problems. “We have never been a manager or president of comfortable clubs. Fortunately, we have overcome all of them with luck. No one should have any doubt that we will overcome the difficulties in Trabzonspor, solve the problems both in sports and economic terms and accomplish important things.”
Kılıç emphasized that Trabzonspor is very special and great and said, “I am a very good Trabzonspor fan, like every Trabzonian. Whether I am in it or not, I always worry and give it a place in my life. Like every Trabzonian in our age group, we waited at the gate of the stadium for hours in our childhood and asked our elders to come to the stadium.” It was the greatest happiness in the world to enter and breathe that air. Now, for children, ‘What makes them happy?’ “We have turned into a society in search of something. That was enough for us and that love continues in the same way. In addition, we are someone who fought to give Trabzon’s conquest history to the club. We have a personality that prioritizes the Turkish and Trabzon identity.” he said.
Stating that the economic costs of the championship are paid by the president and management of the next term, Kılıç said:
“Since the focus was mostly on on-field success during that period, the aftermath may have been neglected. As our president Ertuğrul Doğan stated, we are working hard to make the debt of over 3 billion that arose after that process manageable. Kılıç stated that they currently have a club president who has transferred over 900 million liras of individual money and nearly 70 million euros of sponsorships to the club, and said, “When you consider the economic conditions in the country and the commercial difficulties it brings, he is a club president who has put his body under responsibility, not his hands.” “We have a president and an administration that works devotedly with him.
