One day before his 27th birthday, the German national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl climbed to the top of the scorer rankings in the National Hockey League (NHL).
In the 3-1 away win of the Edmonton Oilers against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night (October 27th, 2022), Draisaitl prepared the last goal. It was the Oilers’ third win in four games.
The German national player scored the goal for Zach Hyman’s final score in the final minute and thus caught up with the leaders in the scorer list. In total, Draisaitl has already contributed twelve goals in seven games this season, which means he shares the top position with four other professionals.
Goalkeeper Thomas Greiss was not used for the Blues.
