Tomorrow, the largest assize trial ever in Limburg will start in Tongeren. Thirteen accused are on trial for the so-called ‘torture murder’ of Hilal Makhtout. He made off with coke, cannabis and the proceeds from drug trafficking. And apparently you don’t do something like that with impunity. He endured severe torture for four days.
