In response to the signal from the football clubs, the municipality of Assen decided to lower next year’s indexed rent increase from 14.5 percent to 5 percent. In addition, sports clubs and social organizations in Assen receive an allowance for energy costs. In a joint letter to the municipality, Achilles 1894, ACV, FC Assen, LTC, Asser Boys and LEO (from nearby Loon) state that the measures have taken away their greatest concern for the time being.
