Asphalt work in Zonnebeke starts on Monday 21 November

The works will take place between Foreststraat and Roeselarestraat 88. Under normal circumstances, the road works will last until Friday 2 December.

“There will be bicycle lanes on both sides, in this way the cyclist will have a more visible and clear place in the roadscape. The works are part of our ambition to make school routes on regional roads safer,” explains Flemish Minister of Mobility and Public Works Lydia Peeters. “I want to drastically increase road safety in school environments and on school routes during this term of office,” said Peeters.

During the work, the road surface between Foreststraat and Roeselarestraat 88 will be renewed over a distance of 350 meters. A diversion will be provided between Zonnebeke village and Broodseinde. This route runs along Passchendaele and Westrozebeke (N303) and then back to Zonnebeke via the monument ‘de Canadien’.
