The pop singer who was also dubbed the Mariah Carey of Asia has passed away.
American Chinese pop singer Coco Lee is dead. Lee was 48 years old when he died. The singer’s cause of death has been confirmed to be suicide. After the suicide attempt, Lee was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
According to those close to him, Lee had already been fighting depression for years, but for the past few months his condition had slipped downhill.
Lee’s resume included film scores. He once became known for his song A Love Before Timewhich is the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon -the theme song of the movie. Lee also performed the song at the Oscars. Lee’s song Before I Fall in Love belongs in turn Bride on the run – to the background music of the film.

Lee voiced Mulan in the Chinese version of the movie Mulan and also sang the theme song of the Chinese version Reflection.
Lee was married to a Canadian businessman by Bruce Rockowitz with. The couple lived in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
