Asbestos released after a shed fire: “No danger for local residents”

The fire started in a remote shed in the Alveringemstraat in Oudekapelle. There are bales of hay and straw in the shed. Some animals have also been released. The roof is already seriously damaged.

The fire service warns that there is an asbestos hazard. Surrounding forces are sending tankers to the site to provide extra water.

Nothing is known about the cause yet.
