AS Roma withdraw from the stock exchange

According to media reports, the Italian first division football club AS Roma is withdrawing from the Milan stock exchange after 22 years.

The US magnate Dan Friedkin, who has owned coach José Mourinho’s club for two years, now owns 95.6 percent of the shares through an additional purchase and was therefore able to apply for the so-called delisting. The paper will be taken off the market next Wednesday.

Friedkin has invested a total of 650 million euros in the traditional club. The entrepreneur bought the club two years ago from businessman James Pallotta for 591 million. City rivals Lazio Rome and Italian record champions Juventus Turin remain listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
