As of today, rescuers in Ostend every day

During the summer holidays (from 1 July to 31 August), all posts are open daily. 61 student workers will man the 13 posts along the entire Ostend coastline. In addition, the six first aid posts will also be open every day.

By the way, a new zone has been added near the main station ‘beach lifeguards and police’. In previous years, regular interventions were needed in that zone, so rescuers are also posted there in the months of June and September.

Late season

In the late season (from 1 to 17 September), the same four beach stations as in the preseason will be maintained again: Mariakerke, Koninginnelaan, and kursaal/Oosthelling.
