As long as the West does not want to get involved in the war itself, the means to stop Putin are scarce

In its third week, the war in Ukraine has escalated further. The Russians barbarously attack the city of Mariupol, with the shelling of a children’s hospital as a tragic low. It is indigestible that Russian President Putin is sacrificing so many lives for what is merely a nationalistic chimera: the idea that Ukraine is not a nation, but belongs to Russia.
