The shares of the truck manufacturer Daimler Truck and the insurer Hannover Re will be included in the leading index DAX of the 40 largest German companies with effect from March 21. The papers of the consumer goods manufacturer Beiersdorf and the energy technology manufacturer Siemens Energy have to vacate their places. In future they will belong to the MDAX, the index of the 50 largest small-cap stocks.
Shares of the DAX newcomers with a weak market under pressure
The imminent inclusion in the leading German index, the DAX, gives Daimler Truck shares no boost in XETRA trading on Friday. At times they lose 1.56 percent to 23.04 euros. The commercial vehicle manufacturer, which is considered to be extremely dependent on the economy, is likely to suffer from the economic consequences of the war in Ukraine and the many sanctions against Russia.
The papers of the second DAX newcomer Hannover Re cannot benefit from the news either. They temporarily lose 1.54 percent to EUR 150.65 via XETRA.
