Singer-songwriter Arttu Wiskarin, 39, the result of the restaurant business is decreasing. The artist and his wife Pauliina Wiskari opened the Wiskarila restaurant in Espoo in 2019.
According to Kauppalehti, Wiskarila Oy’s turnover is 672,300 euros, which means it has decreased from last year’s result by 140,400 euros. Wiskarila’s operating result in the last fiscal year was EUR 52,400 minus. In the previous year, the company made an operating loss of EUR 20,300. After financial expenses, the net result was EUR 54,100 in loss.
The artist said on his Twitter account in December 2022 that trying became difficult when he received a 5,000 euro electricity bill from his restaurant. Two months later, Wiskari admitted to Iltalehte at the Iskelmä gala that the last few years have been difficult for the restaurant due to, among other things, the pandemic. However, he assured that the activity had picked up again, and the bills were no longer as bad.
– Corona was terrible, there you had to throw lifebuoys in all directions all the time to keep the boat afloat. I was absolutely certain that we would go bankrupt. It somehow just persisted, he said.
– Yes, it’s a bit like that when one crisis is overcome, another one is already around the corner. It feels like there is no carpet under your feet at all anymore, but you are constantly flying backwards into the back of your head, he complains.
