Sara Parikan and Johanna Puhakan In the opening season of the second season of the Backstage podcast, the duo’s guest will be the presenter-actor Mikko Leppilampi.

Leppilampi stars in the crime drama Hautalehto: cold lap published by C Morelle, in which he plays the main role, crime commissioner Antti Hautalehto.

The series is based on Christian Rönnbackan successful Cold lap –to the book. It is written by Brother-Pekka Hänninen and was in charge of guidance Petri Kotwica.

“Is this your first lead role in the series?”

Leppilampi proves the claim, even though he has acted in shared lead roles in the past. Now, however, the actor was offered the opportunity to play a big title role.

In the podcast, Leppilampi tells how he had dreamed of a similar opportunity for a long time, which now came true in Hautalehti.

– Kind of my own Beck or Wallander. The character that mirrors a lot of things, Leppilampi explains.

Leap of destiny

In the behind-the-scenes podcast, Sara Parikka talks about how Hautalehto’s viewer records have been broken on the C More service.

– Small for this, Sara Parikka rejoices, making the trio clap.

Leppilampi thinks this is a great thing himself. It was not a matter of course for him to get such a significant role after being identified as a presenter.

As a younger, Leppilampi studied at the Theater Academy. However, the school dropped out after he got a breakthrough role in Pearls and Pigs, which premiered in 2003.

Sittemin Leppilampi is a more familiar face on television, such as Dancing with the Stars or as a presenter of Yacht Programs.

The whole party ponders in the podcast why Leppilampi could not have done the job of both an actor and a presenter.

– Art and plot, they do not go hand in hand, Leppilampi says.

According to the podcast, Mikko Leppilampi, who had worked as a presenter on well-known television programs for years, had already let go of being able to act.

– But I was also determined to take the leap of fate that I would leave the television plots, he continues.

The production of the graveyard was also not seen as an obstacle to the success of the series, because Leppilampi was a familiar presenter on television.

– It has a place of gratitude, the actor praises in the podcast.

The behind-the-scenes podcast is available from the music streaming service Spotify.
