Artificial intelligence has raised concerns among experts, and several have warned of its dangers. South Korean scientists have now trained artificial intelligence in the worst corner of the web: the dark web. The artificial intelligence is called DarkBert.
The dark web is the so-called uncensored side of the internet, which cannot be accessed using traditional web browsing methods. The dark web is known for rampant crime there.
– According to recent studies, the use of language is very different in the dark web compared to the surface web, the study says.
As a tool for the authorities?
DarkBert is designed as a tool for the authorities, and could be used to investigate the activities of cybercriminals in the dark web even more widely. In DarkBert’s training, special attention has been paid to discussion forums used by cybercriminals.
The artificial intelligence was taught by monitoring a total of 54 different leak sites where users share leaked company information. The leak sites were selected based on their popularity and with information security experts.
– DarkBert could be an excellent tool for studying the fight against cyber threats appearing in the dark web, the study says.
