Artificial intelligence: the end of reality

The Pope in a white jacket from a well-known brand revolutionized social networks, as did a sequence of photos of Donald Trump violently resisting arrest. They were plausible images, but false. The family of the German pilot Schumacher announced that it will sue the magazine that carried a report on the motorist who lives in seclusion after suffering an accident on its cover. They did not warn on the cover that it is an interview carried out with artificial intelligence based on old statements by Schumacher.
The so-called “deepfakes”, doctored photos and videos, sometimes with surprising results, affect celebrities and figures from the political world. Sometimes with unpredictable impact: like the fake video of Ukrainian President Zelensky urging the surrender of his troops; or US President Biden warning about the discovery of extraterrestrials.
There was no lack of episodes in a local key either: like a Patricia Bullrich digitally slowed down to appear drunk or the first lady Fabiola Yañez criticizing her husband president.

Alert Artificial Intelligence, the end of Reality, is the headline of this week’s NEWS. An investigation into the acceleration of the development of digital tools that invades us with false information on a large scale. And how to protect ourselves from manipulation. Also this week, Alberto, the resist operation. Lady 5, the most unknown spymaster. And Jorge Macri, the cousin of the PRO discord.
