Artificial intelligence for breakfast, in startups and late into the night

Four days of events organized by everyone for everyone. The Technical University of Lübeck University of Luebeckthe IHKthe DFKIthe Fraunhofer IMTE and the Hanse Innovation Campus dedicated themselves for the second time to one of the central topics that politics, companies, science and citizens are dealing with today – artificial intelligence. It is now found in the most everyday devices, but still poses challenges for many players. In various event formats such as the workshop for school classes “Artificial intelligence made by yourself” or the “Night of AI” those interested in AI of all ages and getting up times – even at 7:45 a.m. there was an AI breakfast – could find their favorites. During the AI ​​week, the organizers looked into the following questions: How can artificial intelligence be used today? Which ethical aspects must be considered? What is the potential for companies in AI applications?

A night full of AI possibilities

“I think we are sending a strong signal with the Night of AI to show the benefits of artificial intelligence for companies and to offer our competence as a university,” says André Drews, Professor of Business Informatics at the TH Lübeck. As part of the AI ​​week, the Specialist group for artificial intelligence in applications an evening that was well filled with 5-minute pitches and plenty of time for networking. Around 170 interested people came together to exchange views on the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence. Many students were present and informed themselves about the offers of the companies at the exhibition stands. The KI-Transfer-Hub SH, the KI network for Schleswig-Holstein, was also on site.

Strongly represented at the Lübeck AI Experience Days exhibition in the Music and Congress Hall

A variety of AI experiences awaited visitors in the rotunda of the music and congress hall. More than 20 exhibitors from research and business presented current research and development results in the field of artificial intelligence and its application. Those interested could watch robots playing soccer, the competence center’s robot dog Skip CoSA of the TH Lübeck as he warms the hearts of the students: inside or look at your own bones with a small device from the University of Lübeck. Together with the project partner AI Transfer Hub SH the CoSA was strongly represented at the exhibition and attracted many interested visitors.
