Fraudulent messages have been sent in the name of the Central Criminal Police (KRP) phishing people’s bank details.

KRP warns.

According to police, various e-mails have been sent to people alleging the recipient has committed crimes.

The content of the messages varies and has been sent from different email addresses.

– The unifying factor in the messages is that the messages are accompanied by pdf files and the title of the messages mentions “Article 360”, the Central Criminal Police bulletin states.

The Central Criminal Police reminds that these attachments should not be opened and the instructions in the messages should not be followed.

If the recipient of the scam message has opened the message and passed on their bank details, you should immediately contact your own bank and then report the crime to the police.

Europol, the European police authority, has also warned of similar scams.

According to the KRP, Europol also warned of fraudulent calls that appear to come from Europol’s phone numbers. KRP says that a similar phenomenon has not been observed in Finland.
