Art weekend: appointment in Todi and Turin

THEL Arts festival celebrates Fabrizio Plessi – one of the most innovative pioneers of video art in Italy – with three events. Projects from the world, the one-man show with large paintings made with mixed media and inspired by big cities like Rome, Bombay, Kyoto; Todi Today, a digital fountain 12 meters high (in Piazza del Popolo); and Secret Water (top), a permanent sculpture of electronic water.

Sylvie Fleury she is an eclectic artist, a “punk feminist in disguise”, as she defines herself, who, with her work, intends to question gender stereotypes. Turn me on it is the one-man show that Fleury has conceived specifically for the space that hosts it. An immersive journey of 60 works, in 7 rooms, where objects-sculptures, videos, installations follow one another – such as Be Good, Be Bad, Just Be! -, patterns of vertical and parallel stripes, all works that are inspired by the stimuli of subcultures.
