An ephemeral sculpture and audiovisual projections on nature. Those were two of the proposals of “Art Awakens”an event organized by the Pinamar Sculpture Park (PEP) at the Links golf complex that demonstrated, once again, that bodybuilding does not have to be a discipline reserved for the few.
The call invited neighbors and tourists to come to the property with food and chairs to enjoy a picnic under the stars. In the open air and with live music, the artists Nahuel Z and Camino Guinot They were two of those who stood out for having installations that innovate in the way of appreciating the sculptures. The event took place on Friday the 6th and will be repeated in February.
Camilo Guinot gave life to “chronoforms“, a giant work of art made with tree branches from the local pruning. The artist often explores the link between human production and nature through processes that combine time, chance, planning and drift.
“From a human perspective, the branches become waste the moment they are pruned. However, for this work they are raw material,” Guinot said. In dialogue with NEWS he added: “I wanted to talk about the passage of time. This is an ephemeral sculpture, unlike all the sculptures we see around. At some point it’s going to fall apart and just become branches again. That interests me.”
From another perspective, Nahuel Z it was also featured in “Art Awakens”. In his case, technology appears as a new element to think about and interact with classical sculptures. With his team, in Pinamar they are the only ones who specialized in mappinga technique for projecting audiovisual content on different surfaces and, on this occasion, they decided to capture it on the trees of the property.
In the top of a giant tree that functioned as a kind of stage, Nahuel Z printed his own audiovisual designs and also the figures of some of the sculptures that are part of the PEP circuit. “The sculptures themselves are not usually visited that much. But when we project them in this way they generate curiosity in people. It is as if cultures came to life thanks to the combination of digital art with nature“, held.
