Art trail The Crystal Ship gets new drawings

The arts festival The Crystal Ship started in 2016 and takes place annually in Ostend. International and national artists create murals and installations using the city as a canvas.

According to Ostend mayor Bart Tommelein, the intention is to bring art closer to the people. “In the middle of the city or on walls in the neighborhoods, artists will do their thing in the coming weeks. Enthusiasts can therefore drop by daily to see the new works take shape.”

In addition to international artists, Belgian artists such as Jaune are also present. He is best known for his works of art of garbage collectors and will soon be launching a first retrospective exhibition.

You can see the artists at work until April 8. After that, all the works are finished and are officially presented to the general public.
