The pressure on Art Rooijakkers is increasing to prove to his own circles that he still has a progressive backbone, but can he leave news of the day? “Very expensive separation.”
It came as a considerable surprise yesterday: Malou Petter steps up as a presenter of News of the Day, because the former news presenter finds it all too right. It is all very very wierd Duk, but very conservative. But what about Art Rooijakkers? What does his progressive heart say? Is he also going away?
Expensive separation
Tina Nijkamp, the TV authority of our country, does not think so. “No, don’t think so. Simple: the mortgage must also be paid,” she writes on her analysis canal. “Art is divorced (is often expensive), recently married again and has two kids.”
However, there is something else to do with it, she continues. “He has been absent for months because of the operation on his vocal cords, just after the start of his contract. So don’t think he dares to cancel. Would not be loyal.”
Other job?
Art cannot go anywhere, according to Tina. “Yes, what? Where would there be a job for Art? There is really little room for presenters, you also see that in the number of transfers. No. Art will still hope for a return of Beijing Express at SBS 6 or Net5. Or maybe he can still present a quiz or something similar for SBS 6.”
What Malou is going to do? That is not yet clear. Tina alluded that she might be a replacement for the talk show Pauw & De Wit, but that has since been invalidated. For the time being she is on vacation with her friends, including Renze Klamer and Tom van ‘t Eind, known from EenVandaag.
“He’s going”
Victor Vlam thinks the pressure on art is increasing to leave and Tim Hofman also thinks he is going. “Wondering if art remains. I don’t think so,” he writes on Threads.
The viewers of News of the Day would certainly not miss Art. “The program gets better if Art also gets on,” says viewer Jan on X. and Robert-Jan: “Art Rooijakkers is not in place from day one, annoying bad even, may also stop right away, please even!”
Ed finally: “That Malou Petter and Art Rooijakkers once ended up in that position is a complete mystery to me.”
