Leight, Romanino, Moretto, Ceruti. The champions of painting in Brescia and Bergamo it is the first of the events scheduled in the two “Capital of Culture 2023” cities. The exhibition compares the works of the most important artists who, between the Renaissance and the Baroque, worked in Bergamo and Brescia.
Eighty paintings on displaywhere, in the rooms of the beautiful sixteenth-century building, the paintings by artists such as Palma il Vecchio, Fra Galgario, Il Pitocchetto, Pietro Bellotto, Giovan Battista Moroni, in addition to those mentioned in the title, tell the different ways of conceiving art.
The itinerary is completed by four “insights” inspired by the cultural identity of the two cities: from architecture – with the work of the architect Marcello Piacentini – to the food and wine tradition, from music – with a focus on Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli from Brescia and Gian Andrea Gavazzeni from Bergamo -, to the figures of two famous popes, John XXIII of Bergamo and Paolo VI of Brescia.

Theater in Modena
This show is proof that the stage can be the place where history, even the most ancient, can dialogue with our present. Music in Milan
New season for Music at Villa Necchi, the afternoon concerts in collaboration between Fai and Società del Quartetto. Among the first appointments, on February 4, i Vagues Saxophone Quartet (pictured) with Americas which recalls the classics from overseas, from Bernstein to Gershwin.
On February 11, the American Landscapes by the pianist Emanuele Arciuli with a program ranging from John Cage to Margaret Bonds, ending with a tribute to the great jazz musician Thelonious Monk.

Pop Art in Gallarate (Varese)
Andy Warhol. Serial Identity is the third tribute (after Padua and Milan) to the father of Pop Art. More than 200 pieces are exhibited, from the most famous cycles (Flowers, Campbell’s Soup, Ladies and gentlemen), to the graphic works, the books, the covers of the records and of Interviewsthe magazine he founded.
For the first time in Italy too Exploding Plastic Inevitable, the video installation born from Warhol’s performance with Nico and the Velvet Underground. The exhibition has a “queue”, Andy Warhol’s TV Special Project at the Milan Gate of Malpensa Airport.
