Almost two months after the final at the European Football Championship, the women’s league WSL experienced a record attendance in England.
To the game in Emirates Stadium in London between the Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur (4:0) 47,367 fans came.
The previous record since 2019 was 38,262 visitors to the Tottenham Arena. The goals in the derby came from Beath Mead, Vivianne Miedema (2) and Raffaelle Souza. England beat Germany 2-1 after extra time on July 31 in front of over 87,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
