Six people were arrested in Assen on Wednesday for possessing or dealing in heavy fireworks or drugs. Three of them are minors.
The police announced on Friday evening that large quantities of heavy fireworks, hard and soft drugs, cigarettes and cash were found in four different homes.
One of the houses is located on Rochtplein. There the police found shells, cobras and nitrates. All fireworks, drugs and other items have been confiscated.
Longer in pre-trial detention
In addition to the three minors, a 36-year-old woman and two 20-year-old men were also arrested.
The Public Prosecution Service announces that the examining magistrate has decided that one of the six people must remain in pre-trial detention for an additional fourteen days. It concerns an underage boy from Assen.
