An arrested woman escaped from the police station in Eindhoven on Tuesday afternoon. She was arrested on suspicion of a drug offence, but managed to escape in slippers.
A police spokesperson was unable or unwilling to say how this could have happened. According to him, that is still being investigated.
The small, blonde woman managed to flee the police station on Mathildelaan around 4 p.m. According to police, she was dressed in a black sweatshirt and flip-flops at the time. It is not clear whether the woman escaped from a cell or managed to escape the attention of her guards elsewhere in the police station.
The woman is not known to be violent, according to the police. The police spokesperson declined to provide further explanation.
