Previous arrests
Since July, the investigation into the murder seems to be going more smoothly. For example, on July 4, a 27-year-old Pole was arrested in his cell in Lelystad, where he was charged with another crime. Two suspects, aged 26 and 27, were arrested on the same day in Spain and Curaçao. The three suspects are all in custody.

It is suspected that the murder of Peter R. de Vries has to do with his role as a confidential counselor in the extensive liquidation process Marengo, in which Ridouan Taghi is on trial as the main suspect. Earlier, the brother and the lawyer of the key witness were murdered. The new witness in the case against the two executors, Delano G. and Kamil E., has stated, among other things, about the link to Taghi.
