Arrested assassin of Albanian mafia suspected of liquidations in our country | Inland

Investigators from our country went to Albania this week to dig into the past of one of the most dangerous hitmen of the Albanian mafia. That is what Albanian media write. Top criminal Nuredin D. would also come into the picture in our country during liquidations.

Several Albanian newspapers write about the visit of Belgian investigators to the city of Elbasan. According to the newspapers ‘Shqip’ and ‘ABC News’, Nuredin D. first built up a career in the prostitution environment. He later became a hit man who would meanwhile have at least seven victims on his conscience. The newspaper ‘Shqiptarja’ writes that Nuredin D. is also suspected of liquidations in our country.

Hitman Nuredin D. was arrested in Albania on March 29, according to the newspaper ‘Panorama’. He was then heavily armed on his way to a new job, but was reportedly ambushed by his own patrons. As he approached his target in a black BMW X5, the car was fired on more than twenty times. The car windows and wheels were completely riddled with bullets.

Good Guardian Angel

But hit man Nuredin D. has a good guardian angel, because miraculously he survived the attack. He was injured. Five hours after the attack, he was arrested when he had himself treated in the Albanian city of Fier in the company of some accomplices.

At the time of his arrest, Nuredin D. was also armed. In addition, the BMW X5 in which the assassin was sitting when he was shot at was a jerry can with five liters of petrol and a Kalashnikov. This leads the police to suspect that he was also on his way to a new settlement when he was attacked.

It is not clear which murders Nuredin D. is suspected in our country. But the fact is that Belgian investigators also tried to solve the mystery surrounding a Mafia murder in Molenbeek (Brussels) this week in Elbasan, according to the newspaper ‘Shekulli’.

Riddled with eight bullets in Molenbeek

It was on November 27, 2020, almost a year and a half ago, that an Albanian man in the Edmond Machteldlaan in Molenbeek was riddled with at least eight bullets. According to Albanian media, it concerns Ardit S. (38), brother-in-law of a top Albanian criminal, and himself once suspected of murder.

The liquidation in Molenbeek is said to be part of a war between two Albanian gangs fighting for control of the cocaine trade. The conflict is said to have started with a stolen or missing batch of cocaine in Great Britain.

Ten fatalities

A bloody war then started that led to murder, and a game of revenge and retaliation in which, according to Albanian media, about ten people were killed, including in the Albanian city of Elbasan, but also in Brussels.

In May 2020, Belgian investigators also went to Elbasan for that investigation. Barely a few days later, another assassination attempt took place in Elbasan, linked by local media to the liquidation in Molenbeek.

Dubai

Whether hitman Nuredin D. is a suspect for the murder in Molenbeek, remains unclear for the time being. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office has been silent about the case for a year and a half. “In the interest of the ongoing investigation, we are not communicating about this case,” it continues. Several newspapers also write that a number of those involved in the drug war are hiding in Dubai.
