Arrest Warrant and Xatar announce THE HOLLAND JOB 2

In a joint Instagram story with Xatar, the Offenbach rapper Haftbefehl announced a sequel to the 2016 album DER HOLLAND JOB. In the video, Haftbefehl sits in a car and pans the camera to the other occupants of the vehicle. When Xatar enters the frame, he yells, “Coup 2 is coming.”

DER HOLLAND JOB was released in 2016 together with an elaborately produced short film. The two rappers called themselves “Coup” at the time, which is also alluded to in the announcement that has now been published. The collab album also included the single “AFD”, which referred to the emergence of the right-wing populist party “Alternative für Deutschland” at the time and quickly changed the acronym to “Ausländer für Deutschland”. Otherwise, the 13-song album is characterized by classic street rap on head-nodding beats. It is not yet known whether Haftbefehl and Xatar will continue the sound of that time more than six years later, or whether they will also increasingly incorporate more modern elements. Except for the short Instagram video, the two have not yet revealed any details about their joint project. Maybe that could change soon.

Haftzettel most recently released DAS SCHWARZE ALBUM (2021), one year earlier DAS WEISSE ALBUM (2020). The street rapper also recently announced that he is working on a new solo album. Arrest warrant has a lot planned. When DER HOLLAND JOB 2 and the new solo album could be released is still in the stars. It seems unlikely that both albums will be released this year.
